LNDT International Tours in October

On October 5, Lithuanian National Drama Theater’s production Heroes’ Square by Thomas Bernhard directed in 2015 by a famous Polish director and scenographer Krystian Lupa, will be presented in Minsk, on the stage of the MAZ Palace of Culture. This performance is included in the Teatr Program of the International Theater Arts Forum.

China is waiting for TARTUFFE. Koršunovas' interview for Chinese press

Last year the show "Tartiufas", dir. Oskaras Koršunovas, has shaken the audience of international theatre festival in Avignon, France, and this year the show intends to conquer the sympathies of Chinese spectators. This weekend, the Lithuanian National Drama Theater’s comedy takes off for a month-long tour in China, visiting five big cities. Even before the tour started, the Chinese media was actively interested in the Lithuanian performance. One of the interviews given by O. Koršunovas to the organizers of the Shanghai Fake Festival, the Lithuanian National Drama Theater shares with Lithuanian readers.

Contemporary drama festival VERSMĖ invites young and emerging Lithuanian playrights and theatre people to a dramaturgy workshop on “researching and performing private histories" led by Naomi Yoeli ,one of the most significant contemporary Israeli fringe theatre makers. Individual stories and private memories open up a vast creative territory where along with “small narratives” that could be researched it also raises the questions of collective memory and human history, i.e. the issue of individual versus collective.
