1984 m. Martinikoje gimęs Grégory Privat – pianisto José Privat, išgarsėjusio su Karibų jūros regiono grupe „Malavoi“, sūnus. Dar būdamas labai jaunas Grégory susižavėjo fortepijonu – nuo šešerių lankė privačias pamokas ir atsidavė dešimčiai meistriškumo lavinimo metų klasikinės muzikos srityje, vėliau pasuko į improvizaciją ir džiazą.

Studijuodamas inžinerijos universitete Tulūzoje, Grégory Privat naktimis grodavo džiazo klubuose. Karjera pagreitį įgavo Paryžiuje, kur muzikantas, nešinas inžinieriaus diplomu kišenėje, vis dažniau koncertuodavo. Būtent čia jo keliai susikirto su Jacques Schwarz-Bart, Stephane Belmondo, Guillaume Perret ar Sonny Troupé. Ieškodamas savo vietos džiazo pasaulyje, pianistas dalyvavo garsiojo „Montreux Jazz Festival“ fortepijonų konkurse 2008 m. ir „Martial Solal Competition“ 2010 m., kurio metu pasiekė pusfinalį.

2011 m. buvo išleistas pirmasis Grégory albumas „Ki Koté“, kurio palankūs įvertinimai paskatino muzikantą tęsti kūrybinį kelią – 2013 m. jis išleido albumą „Tales of Cyparis“, įkvėptą Louis-Auguste Cyparis, vienintelio kalinio, išgyvenusio „Mountain Pelée“ ugnikalnio išsiveržimą 1902 metais ir pasamdyto „Barnum Circus“, istorijos. Šis projektas, puikiai įvertintas kritikų, įtvirtino Grégory Privat pavardę tarp ryškiausių naujosios džiazo scenos muzikantų. Šį statusą patvirtino ir 2015 m. išleistas trečiasis jo albumas „Luminescence“, įrašytas kartu su Sonny Troupé, ištikimu partneriu ir puikiu Gwoka muzikos meistru. Albumas buvo paminėtas 2015 m. „Victoires du Jazz“ kategorijoje „Metų atradimas, „Frank-Ténot“ prizas“.

2015 m. Grégory tapo nauju žymiojo švedų bosininko Lars Danielsson „Liberetto“ kvarteto klavišininku. Būtent Lars Danielsson, kurio įspūdingus pasirodymus Lietuvos melomanai turėjo galimybę išgirsti 2009 m. ir 2021 m. festivalio „Vilnius Mama Jazz“ scenoje, paskatintas,  Grégory pasirašė sutartį su prestižine Vokietijos leidybine kompanija ACT. Čia 2016 m. buvo išleistas jo pirmojo trio (kartu su būgnininku Tilo Bertholo ir bosininku Linley Marthe) albumas „Family Tree“. Po trejų metų, ieškodamas laisvės ir meninės nepriklausomybės, muzikantas įkūrė savo leidyklą „Buddham Jazz“, kurioje 2020 m. prodiusavo ir kartu su bosininku Chris Jennings ir būgnininku Tilo Bertholo įrašė albumą „Soley“ .

2022 m. pradžioje Grégory Privat išleido savo pirmąjį solinį albumą „Yonn“, puikiai įvertintą auditorijos ir kritikų. Neabejojame, kad ir pianisto koncertas festivalio „Vilnius Mama Jazz“ scenoje bus jausmingas, ekspresyvus, nepaliekantis abejingų ir laisvas tarsi šaltinio almėjimas!

Trečiąją „Vilnius Mama Jazz“ festivalio dieną – gegužės 28-ąją – džiazo gurmanus pradžiugins Ben Wendel Group koncertas. „Ben Wendel Group“ – „Grammy“ apdovanojimui nominuoto saksofonininko Ben Wendel, pianisto Shai Maestro, bosininko Joe Sanders ir būgnininko Greg Hutchinson kvartetas iš JAV, savo pasirodymuose publikai dovanosiantis jaudinančią, energingą, ritmišką ir nuotykių kupiną muzikinę kelionę.

Ben Wendel – saksofonininkas, kompozitorius ir prodiuseris, gimęs Vankuveryje, Kanadoje, augęs Los Andžele, o šiuo metu gyvenantis ir kuriantis Brukline, Niujorke. Savo užtikrintoje ir sklandžioje kūrybinėje kelionėje Ben Wendel gastroliavo, koncertavo ir dalyvavo įrašuose su tokiais ne tik po džiazo vėliava kuriančiais atlikėjais kaip Prince, Tigran Hamasyan, Antonio Sanchez, Gerald Clayton, Eric Harland, Taylor Eigsti, Linda May Han Oh, Moonchild, Louis Cole, Daedelus, Snoop Dogg ir kt., taip pat jis yra „Grammy“ nominuotos ir JAV jaunojo džiazo elitui priskiriamos grupės „Kneebody“ įkūrėjas.

Ben Wendel yra gavęs „ASCAP Jazz Composer Award“ apdovanojimą, jo kūryba tris kartus įvertinta „Chamber Music America New Works Grant“ bei Kanados menų tarybos „Victor Lynch-Staunton“ apdovanojimu. Muzikantas yra John Krasinski filmo, kurto pagal David Foster Wallace romaną „Trumpi atgrasių vyrų interviu“, partitūros bendraautorius, dirbo su pasaulinio garso dirigentu Kent Nagano, sukūrė tarpžanrinių performansų seriją „Broad Stage“ teatre Santa Monikoje, Kalifornijoje, kuriame buvo paskirtas džiazo ir bliuzo iniciatyvos vadovu. Eidamas šias pareigas, Ben Wendel subūrė meno tarybą, kurią sudaro tokie šviesuoliai kaip Quincy Jones, Herb Alpert ir Luciana Souza.

Ben Wendel dirbo su garsiausiomis leidybinėmis kompanijomis ir 2009 – 2020 m. įrašė penkis solinius albumus, taip pat keletą „džiazo scenos Radiohead“ vadinamos grupės „Kneebody“ albumų. Kūrėjo inicijuotas muzikinių klipų projektas „The Seasons“, įkvėptas to paties pavadinimo Čaikovskio kūrinių, „The New York Times“ įtrauktas į geriausių 2015 metų muzikinių projektų sąrašą. „The Seasons“ kartu su Ben Wendel pasirodė Joshua Redman, Jeff Ballard, Mark Turner, Julian Lage, Ambrose Akinmusire ir kt.

Muzikantas ne tik aktyviai kuria, bet ir užsiima edukacine veikla – jis dėstė džiazą „University of Southern California“ universitete, šiuo metu dėsto „The New School“ Niujorke, yra surengęs daugiau nei 300 meistriškumo kursų įvairiuose universitetuose, mokyklose ir menininkų edukacijos programose.

Iš Izraelio kilęs Shai Maestro tituluojamas vienu perspektyviausių ir talentingiausių savo kartos pianistų. Muzikantas pradėjo groti klasikiniu fortepijonu būdamas penkerių ir su pagyrimu baigė „Thelma Yellin“ aukštąją scenos menų mokyklą Izraelyje. Laimėjęs Nacionalinį džiazo ansamblių konkursą „Jazz Signs“ ir gavęs Amerikos ir Izraelio kultūros fondo džiazo fortepijono stipendiją, Shai Maestro dalyvavo Berklio muzikos koledžo (JAV) vasaros programoje Bostone. Netrukus po to jis susilaukė „Vilnius Mama Jazz“ scenoje keliskart triumfavusio ir pasauliniu mastu pripažinto bosininko Avishai Cohen kvietimo prisijungti prie „Avishai Cohen Trio“, su kuriais Shai Maestro įrašė keturis albumus, iš kurių du – legendinėje „Blue Note Records“ leidybinėje kompanijoje.

2018-ieji buvo svarbūs metai muzikantui, kadangi tada jis pasirašė sutartį su bene įtakingiausia džiazo leidybos kompanija „ECM“, kurioje įrašė savo pirmąjį albumą „The Dream Thief“.

Joe Sanders – bosininkas, kilęs iš Milvokio (JAV). Paauglystėje jis pajuto trauką muzikai ir visai nesvarbu, ar tai buvo per radiją skambantis bliuzas, ar egzaltuotas vokalas Baptistų bažnyčioje. Joe Sanders studijavo „Brubeck Institute“ Kalifornijoje, koncertavo ir mokėsi kartu su Dave Brubeck, Christian McBride, Terence Blanchard, Ron Carter, Roy Hargrove, John Clayton, Jimmy Heath, Charlie Haden, Herbie Hancock, Charles Lloyd, Wayne Shorter, Geri Allen.

2007 m. baigęs Thelonious Monk institutą, Joe Sanders persikėlė į Niujorką, kur tapo neatsiejama klestinčios Niujorko džiazo scenos dalimi. 2012 m. žymi svarbų tašką muzikanto karjeroje, kadangi tada buvo išleistas albumas „Introducing Joe Sanders“ pripažintoje „Criss-Cross Jazz“ leidybinėje kompanijoje. Joe Sanders reguliariai koncertuoja ir gastroliuoja su savo ansambliu „Joe Sanders’ Infinity“, taip pat – kartu su Kendrick Scott Oracle, „Gerald Clayton Trio“ ir Ben Wendel kvartetu. 2017 m. Joe Sanders išleido savo antrąjį albumą „Humanity“.

Greg Hutchinson yra Brukline (Niujorke) gimęs būgnininkas, kurio kūrybinį kelią paauglystėje formavo aštuntojo dešimtmečio soul muzika – jos įtaka ir karštis vis dar jaučiamas muzikanto kūryboje. Stipri ir Greg Hutchinson tėvų muzikinė įtaka – muzikantas groti pradėjo savo tėvo vadovaujamoje regio grupėje „Triadics“ o iš savo motinos paveldėjo didžiulę plokštelių kolekciją, kuri jos šeimoje buvo mažiausiai dvi kartas. Būgnininko kūrybinius impulsus sustiprino privačios studijos Manheteno muzikos mokykloje pas Justin Diccicio, taip pat pamokos ir pasirodymai kartu su Marvin „Smitty“ Smith ir Kenny Washington. Greg Hutchinson aktyviai koncertuoja, dalyvavo daugiau nei 160 įrašų, koncertavo ir įrašinėjo su daugybe džiazo grandų, įskaitant Betty Carter, Joshua Redman, Dianne Reeves, Wynton Marsalis, John Scofield, Roy Hargrove, Diana Krall ir Harry Connick Jr.
