Yanna Ross was born on February 6, 1973. She is a Russian-born American director. Ross graduated from Yale University Drama School, and is a graduate student of the university. She has taught theatre disciplines, worked and directed in New York and Berlin. In 2006-2007 – a Fulbright scholar. Ross has also created experimental films, directed HBO TV programmes, „Paris‑Première“, „E! Entertainment“. Staged performances in the United States, Japan, South Korea, Germany, and Russia.

In 2013 Yana Ross was awarded the Gold Cross of the Stage for her direction of “Mūsų Klasė” (Our Class).
