LNDT presents its latest productions with English surtitles

25.09 MARTYR by Marius von Mayenburg/ Oskaras Koršunovas

A third play of Mayenburg directed by Koršunovas (after ‘Fire Face’ and ‘Cold Child’) with the third of the cast composed of his students from Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. Great opportunity to see emerging Lithuanian acting talents.

26.09 HEROES SQUARE by Thomas Bernhard/ Krystian Lupa

Polish theatre magician has chosen Lithuania to stage the last and most controversial play of his beloved author Thomas Bernhard. In the main role of Robert Schuster is a legendary Lithuanian actor and director Valentinas Masalskis, himself an expert of Bernhard with three of his plays directed previously.

27.09 BORIS GODUNOV by Alexandr Pushkin/ Eimuntas Nekrošius

The Pushkin’s play speaks of the period in Russian history distinguished by an intense and cruel fight for power between influential rulers. Eimuntas Nekrošius turns to Russian classics with the aim of better understanding today’s Russia.

28.09 ELIZABETH BAM by Daniil Kharms/ Oskaras Koršunovas

More than two decades ago Koršunovas became known for his performances based on Kharms. Now he revisits his relationship with the author in a rather usual space – deep under the stage of Lithuanian National Drama Theatre.
